Balloon Festival......Woooo Hoooo!!!!!

Where do I start? We had SUCH a great weekend!! Doug left with Dad, Mike, Marlan and Carl on their cruisers on Thursday night and drove to Panguitch. The girls, Amy and I drove down in the truck with my Harley in the back because i'm a wuss.

They have a balloon ralley every year where they launch 35 balloons and do a poker run for all of the crazy bikers. Vic and Walt met us there and everyone enjoyed the festivities so much! Dave and Erin and the kids were there. Carl and Judy were so good to everyone. Judy fed us fabulous food as usual and they even let Marlan sleep on the dog poo accidently left on their lawn. Thank you sooo much!!! You guys are so great. Anyway here are some of the pics I love sooo much to take that Carl started calling me Louse Lane. There are three slide shows below and I don't know what he's talking about.

Oh, and for the record. You can get a DUI on a motorized cooler pulling a caboose cooler full of beer giving drunk chickadees cooler rides on main street at 1 in the morning. No it wasn't me! But in case anyone out there is considering doing this. Think again!

These are a bunch of bad A's I ran in to on the trip. They will chew you up and spit you out like a rotten pistachio. I'm lucky to even get these photo's. They don't like to be recognized as you can see from the one that looks like a night rider about to jack a bank. Beware.........and if you run in to one of them on the street, look the other way.

Obama Sock Puppet Party!!!

I had to throw the Obama sock puppet in there just because I think it's so damn funny!! I am getting everyone I know one for Christmas. Here's the news story on it:

On second thought, the Obama sock puppet might be made after all, even though the creators are getting death threats.

Unfortunately, other people are getting caught up in the controversy as well.

The sock's creators say a few new opportunities have come to light to produce their toy, even after Binkley Toys dropped their product due to racial overtones.

David and Elizabeth Lawson say their toy is the victim of a double standard. They ask: If President Bush can be compared to a chimpanzee, why can't you have an Obama sock monkey?

They say they've been getting "vivid and creative" death threats, including talk of a "good old-fashioned KKK house burning party."

Meanwhile, a man in Park City has been mixed up in this. David J. Lawson is a real estate agent in Park City. He's not the David Lawson in West Valley City who created the controversial Obamas sock puppet. But that's not stopping the angry e-mails.

He says, "It's the danger of the Internet. I mean, you know, you can Google somebody's name, and you find something, and you can assume that I'm the one that was doing this."

Lawson says he's been pretty worried about his personal safety and his reputation. He says he returned every e-mail, explaining that they've got he wrong guy.

Dad, I love you so much. You have taught me so many valuable things and continue to teach me and my kids on a daily basis. It is an honor to be your daughter and I strive to make you proud every day.

Doug, You are such a good man and our kids are so lucky to have you. Thank you for everything you do for us. I love you and I am proud to be your wife.

Carl, You have so many wonderful traits that you have passed on. I see alot of you in Doug. Thank you for raising such a good person. I love you.

Lew, You mean so much to Doug and I and the girls. Thank you for treating us as if we were your own. We feel like we are. I love you.

So last Saturday I got to watch my two favorite little porch monkeys and they were so much fun. All I have at my house to play with is dolls and purses and dress-up, so that's really cool.

They have adjusted well thanks to their mentor- Angelina Jolie hiding in the background making sure the photo shoot went well. Next time we'll be featuring evening wear. Love ya Brent!

I feel really bad.....

I did the cute little slide show below this morning. When I looked at it again just now I feel bad because I never realized that Jessa was so deathly afraid of internet butterflies. I mean, at first it looks like she's trying to lure them in and eat them but then they just scare the shit out of her and knock her down.

Invasion of the crabs!

Okay, this is the stupidest post ever. I got home and started looking through my pics and I realized I had crabs. Well, pictures of crabs...and lots of them. Obviously there are a couple here that are intentionally of crabs, but I didn't know there was one hiding in half of the pictures I took. Strategically placed in case of the need to attack. I don't know whats up with the foam either. I think he was so happy to see me he foamed himself. Some of them were the same color as the moss on the rocks so it's like where's Waldo only it's where's the funky little crab face hiding in all my pics!

This post is dedicated to our sweet nephew Ruger Henrie. He is such a handsome fella! We got to take him on our trip to Cali thanks to his great mom Mouria...who we love just as much! Anyway, he is such a polite, fun, sweet boy and we all cherish the time we get to spend with him. We love you buddy!!
