Oh yeah....you wanna impress me...part it!
I had to put that picture on top so you could see how funny it really is up close! Ruger apparently decided the water was too cold after all and he would just walk across Flaming Gorge instead.
So we went camping last weekend and had sooo much fun! The kids rode the dirt bikes all day, aound, around, around the track. We got invaded by cows every morning and I mean invaded. You can see the picture of one in the middle of the camp fire? We named him Filet Mignon...He just stood there and looked at me waiting for me to build a fire under him. Jessa saw a REAL cowboy. We went to the Gorge and let the kids jump off the cliffs Which was a really good thing because they had been camping since Wednesday and they all smelled like cow manure.
Jessa cried when I told her yesterday that it was time to come home. She ate...well lets say they ALL ate fifty pounds of smores and a whole dutch oven full of peach cobler, not to mention the concoction that Aspen and Ruger made up by mixing cake mix and Sprite in the empty peach pie filling can and cooking it in the fire. It looked like silly putty but Ruger said it was delicious and "That's what campin is all about!"

The Serenity Fountain
This post is for Amy’s benefit, since she never comes to see me (hint..hint..) I wanted her to see a picture of the fountain area Doug and I made in our back yard before all the plants around it wake up, realize who is taking care of them and die. A couple of weeks ago mom told me about the whole “every women needs to have her own Secret Garden” concept. Well, this is my Secret Garden…where I go to escape for a few minutes, or seconds is more accurate. I have a swing that sits right in front of it and it is so peaceful. I love it.
Here is a perfect example of when a “Secret Garden” is needed………
A couple of days ago I came home from work and went into the girls bathroom and noticed that there was a whole roll of soaking wet, super plump, squeezably soft Charmin double roll toilet paper right smack in the middle of the toilet. That’s not the bad part. Perched perfectly on top of it was a lovely gift from a lovely child. I immediately tracked down the culprit.
Me: “Jessa Lyn…….why is there a full roll of toilet paper in the toilet?”
Culprit: “ohhhhhhh…. Sorry Mama, I accidentally knocked it in there”
Me: “Okay sweetheart….but why, why, why did you have to poop on it?”
Culprit: “Ugh..MOMMMM I HAD to GO!”
Yep…I love my Secret Garden!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUGER!!!!!!!
So before I get to the congratulating I have to tell a little story about Squidward.
Yesterday, after Ruger's party we were sitting outside on the swing visiting and it got quiet for a couple of seconds and she says "oh, mom....did you know.....that whenever there's an uncomfortable silence.......either someone is thinking about Abraham Lincoln....or........(in a quiet, soft whisper).....a gay child is being born"
I'm all "What the hell are you talking about?"
Just kidding I really didn't say that...I said "What the hell?"
She says "I'm serious Mom...I heard that while I was in Panguitch from my really really good friend...and it's TRUE.....Ever since I heard it....every time I have an uncomfortable silence with someone...I TOTALLY think about Abraham Lincoln"
ummmmmm what the hell?
Anyway! We had Ruger's party last night. What a sweet boy he is! I can't believe he's thirteen. He is WAY WAY WAY to cool and fun and funny and sweet to be thirteen. I love him more than poo flinging monkeys.
Here's a few pics of the party. We had a blast buying boy things. Doug and I couldn't resist getting blow dart guns, paint balls for said blow dart gun, exploding rockets, pocket knives...etc. I really wanted to go down South and wrangle him that Leprechaun....Haaaaaay...Now that i've seen an amateur sketch I totally know what to look for. Maybe next year?
The girls made him a cake and as you can see the two cake theivers were on the prowl again. He got spoiled, ate cake,
oh, sorry...I was totally thinking about Abraham Lincoln..excuse me..... blew darts in the garage, played with his rockets, licked crepe paper and had a fabulous day!
WE LOVE YOU BUDDY!!!!!
